All I Want for Christmas Is My Two Tattoos: Inspirational Stories from the Trauma of Diagnosis to the Drama of a Survivor's Dance

Patricia Beth Rodgers

"This is such a wonderful read, filled with laughter, tears, fear hope---the stuff of life.  I feel as though I know you, and would love to sit on the porch and chat.  That's what makes for a great book."

Author Bio

Patricia writes a column for the town's bi-weekly newspaper, and has published over fifty-five stories in eight newspapers and two nationally known magazines.  Her October article reminding women to have an annual mammogram have appeared in nine newspapers since her own diagnosis of breast cancer.  Producing and presenting a humorous skit about being bald during chemotherapy, she has amused and entertained groups of cancer survivors and their caregivers at a bi-annual retreat sponsored by the Scott & White Cancer Center in Temple, Texas.

Her passions are storytelling to a packed room of elementary aged children, scaring the socks off of junior high students with ghost stories, and reading aloud to her aged mother and her grandchildren; using stories she has written to do all three.  Several summers ago, she and Eddie began a County Line Mystery Club, inviting area children to join in the fun of solving mysteries that occur on their ranch.  Much to the delight of the Mystery Club members, stories are written from their adventures and then published in area newspapers.  It is Patricia's hope that by sharing her writing and storytelling skills, she will encourage children to join in her life-long dream of becoming a writer.

The chapters of All I Want for Christmas is My Two Tattoos allow readers access to all that Patricia holds dear; her family, her home and God.
